Without adversity and various challenges in my own life, I would not have accomplished my educational journey and find peace within myself. I am a Registered Educator for 30+ years and hold degrees in M.Ed., (Counselling Psychology), Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), Post-Bac (Special Education). I have certificates in Animal-Assisted Wellness, Play Therapy, Reiki Master (Energy Healing), and REACT (Recovery Education & Complex Trauma). I am currently enrolled in the Forest School through Child Alliance of Canada, and Circle of Security in Seattle Washington. I am also the author of "HillBilly Hiking: A Wellness Approach Guide & Journal". I am known as Ma, Nana,& Nanny to three adult children and three grandsons, two dogs, two grand-dogs, one grand-cat (who currently lives with me).  My most valued, treasured, and challenging roles in life has been "Mother" and "Grandmother". 

Not only have I attended formal training, but I have also been trained at the Earth School (majoring in hard knocks). I am grateful & proud to have earned my degrees/certificates, but life experiences have been my greatest teacher. I truly value the training and experience earned at Earth School & hold it in high regard. I was terrified of the stigma associated with seeking mental health support. When the idea of therapy finally grew on me. I did end up finding ways to go to attend. With this, my line of thinking has changed from “What’s wrong with me?”, to “What happened to me?” & "What didn't happen for me?". We are ALL important and deserve an opportunity to reassess 'how we got here' and move forward in finding our truth. 

Life can be so over-whelming. It has a way of blindsiding us by throwing curve balls in our direction. It's very difficult to try and escape the school of hard knocks on your own.  I am here to listen, understand, and guide you towards sorting it out.  Let me walk with you while you learn, grow, & move forward! I would be absolutely honored to travel with you on your journey towards finding your true self as we collaboratively develop a direction that acknowledges your strengths and personal goals.  Don't waste anymore of your life sitting in turmoil. We all deserve to experience our worthiness and lovability.  These traits do not need to be earned, only recognized!  I look forward to hearing your story and uncovering your truths. You do not need to feel you have to struggle or travel alone.  Our journey together would be a person-centered - strength based approach that values your strengths, insights, and wisdoms. We will go at your pace whether you need time to process & regroup or quickly tie lose ends.
